The prefabricated structures for industrial buildings are composed of columns and I beams of constant or variable height (IV). Where one or more mezzanine floors are built, prestressed floor elements can support heavy loads up to 40 kN/m². In industrial construction ERGON can make buildings of 30 m in height (single piece columns), with spans of up to 50 m. Grid-structures without intermediate columns of 960 m² (40 x 24 m) can be made with ERGON’S standard elements. Compared to steel constructions, the prestressed concrete structures give a higher resistance to fire and do not require protection against corrosion.
